Pre - coating solution

WHAT IS PRE-COATING ?

The products used are of different types :

• Micro – encapsulated locking products
• Sealing products
• Polyamide Patch
• Anti-seizing products

Pre-coating products are applied in a liquid form via different processes : dipping, pouring, or brushing. Once this has been applied, the coated parts are steamed to eliminate the solvent and to obtain a smooth and dry film.

The handling of pre-coated parts does not require any particular safety measures. A vibrant bowl can be used for automatic assembling as well as a conveyor system.

The life shelf of the parts is between 1 and 4 years.

Soprima Industries has available special brushing machines enabling to coat a large palette of smooth, threaded and screwed parts. Our equipment is adapted to deal with small, medium and large series.

Why Pre-coating ?

This technique was introduced 30 years ago to help resolve problems relating directly to on-line applications of liquid products. The car manufacturers were the first to withdraw the pasting installations from their production lines in favor of pre-coating solutions.

The pre-coating solution has proved to be effective on economical and technical sides, compared to the classic sealing and bonding solutions.
